Oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) is a common oral cavity cancer that arise in the front two-third part of the tongue. It has aggressive behavior which is associated in many cases with early-stage tumors. Thus, it is very important to precisely estimate the behaviour and outcome of OTSCC. Predicting the recurrence of OTSCC is one of the important assessments to the clinician during treatment planning. With accurate recurrence prediction, high-risk cases can be identified and thereby effective multimodality treatment can be applied accordingly. Hence, the clinicians can make informed decision about the patients.
